MEET THE FOUNDER
CRYSTAL L. FEDELI
Executive Director
Hi, I’m Crystal Fedeli, a social researcher and policy analyst working at the intersection of lived experience and system-level decision making. Through my consulting practice, speaking and training, and nonprofit work, I support women navigating domestic abuse, financial control, and the family court system, while also helping professionals and organizations better understand and respond to these complex situations. My work focuses on bringing clarity, structure, and accuracy to situations that are often misunderstood, so individuals can move forward more effectively and systems can respond more appropriately.
Before beginning my consulting practice and founding my nonprofit, I worked within the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender in the Drug Court Unit, where I managed drug court expenditures for the entire state. Prior to that, I worked with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families in the Division of Child Protection and Permanency within the Litigation Unit. My background also includes work with community-based organizations supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood trauma, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities, giving me a deep understanding of how complex situations are interpreted within institutional systems and where critical gaps often exist.
I hold dual master’s degrees, one in Social Research Analysis and the other in Child Advocacy and Policy with a concentration in Child Public Welfare. I also hold a paralegal certificate and a graduate certificate in data collection and management. This combination of research, policy, and legal-adjacent training informs my work and allows me to approach complex situations with both analytical rigor and real-world context.
